Gingerpalooza!

Gingerpalooza!

September is Gingerpalooza time at Sayward Haven Farm.  Here is what you want to know:

What is Gingerpalooza?

We host this one day event annually.  Come sample foods made with our Fresh Ginger, get recipes and purchase food items (our Ginger Snaps are popular!).  Fresh Ginger is also available for sale but we usually sell out so come early!

Our regular farm stand will be open with fresh produce that you can also purchase.  Our popular bread and baked goods will also be available for sale.

Gingerpalooza runs rain or shine.

Cash, E-Transfer, Credit and Debit are available for payment.

Dogs permitted on leash only.  Children are welcome.

How Do I Purchase Ginger?

If you missed pre-ordering we will have limited supply of Fresh Ginger available at Gingerpalooza.  Please come early as we usually sell out at Gingerpalooza!

What do I buy when I purchase Fresh Ginger?

We sell the whole plant so you get the juicy, fresh root and the stems/leaves.  The stems/leaves can be used like lemongrass to infuse flavour into your meals or make ginger tea.  The root is used like the ginger you purchase at the store but it has some big differences.

When is Fresh Ginger available to be picked up?

At Gingerpalooza!  Pre-orders can also be picked up Sunday, Sept. 29th 11am-2pm for those who can't make it Saturday.

***For those who pre-ordered ginger please bring your Order # with you so we can find you Fresh Ginger order.

Where do I park when I come to pick up my Fresh Ginger?

Street parking only please.  The farm is a short 200 feet walk along our gravel driveway.

What if I want to buy more ginger after I pre-order Fresh Ginger - for me, friends or family?

We have Fresh Ginger available at Gingerpalooza that you can purchase when you pick up your pre-order, while supplies last.

How much does Fresh Ginger cost?

We sell the whole plant so you get the root and stems/leaves.  It is sold by weight.

1/2 pound bag - $12

1 pound bag - $22

During Gingerpalooza we also have "Ginger Bites" for sale.  They are small sample sized pieces of Fresh Ginger for $5.

I am going to be putting in a preorder for ginger – but will be away at a retreat for the long weekend (sept 27-30)
Would you have another date option for pick up?
Thanks for considering this.
