The last few days have allowed Farmer Don to remove tarps from the main open growing beds and begin planting the first of our early summer seeds like carrots, leafy greens, turnips and beets.
The Farm Stand is now open! Our Spring Hours are Wednesday thru Sunday, 9:30am-6pm. We hope to harvest the first of our greens to be on the stand this weekend!
The weather forecast has been wonky predicting nights of freezing temperatures that seem to evaporate. This makes spring planting a little chaotic but we are ready for it!
Our flowers this year have had bad timing. Mother Nature can be finicky. Today Farmer Tracey went out to check on the flower beds and dozens of tulips and daffodils were now ready just as the Holiday weekend ends! We'll have lots of lovely daffodil bunches and tulip bouquets at the stand this week as a result so please drop by and pick one up!
Also at the stand we have basil herb plants. For the same price you pay for a bunch of basil you can have a plant for just $3! And don't forget our amazing whole wheat breads and micro greens too.
